“Cracks” a movie by Jordan Scott (Ridley Scott’s daughter)

As a great advocate for female film directors, I was really pleased to have seen the movie Cracks directed by Jordan Scott.

The cinematography was perfect as Jordan stayed true to the magical scenes as experienced through the eyes of an adolescent girl which was described in the book. She picked the right cast, headed by the fiercely talented Eva Green— as the fascinating dare-devil teacher with a secret and a band of natural-acting girls. I was relieved that these young girls could act. Because there’s nothing worst than a child actor who can’t act, which just ruins the entire film.

But Jordan pulled it off orchestrating this film as it is her debut as a director.

I recommend anyone and everyone to see this movie, because nothing is what it seems or implicated on the trailer. You’ll just be stunned as the movie unravels with all these unexpected incidents that intensifies the entire story.

Watch out for the performances by Maria Valverde and Juno Temple… I have a feeling these two will be the “IT” girls pretty soon.
